Dr. Ozan Emre Demir was born in Kastamonu, Türkiye, in 1995. He completed his Master's in 2019 and obtained his PhD title in 2024 in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. His research focuses on design and development of Cyber-Physical Systems, function-oriented selective and adaptive assembly for zero-defect manufacturing, and stochastic modelling and performance evaluation of multi-stage manufacturing systems. Furthermore, he developed numerous algorithms for process and quality control.

He is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of Mechanical Engineering in Politecnico di Milano. He is actively participating in various research projects both at European and Italian national level, leading technical tasks and assisting in overall project coordination and management.
